10/30/08 - Detroit, MI - E. Jefferson & Newport Sts

Thursday, October 30, 2008, E. Jefferson & Newport, 2nd Alarm, 1 story commercial building (party store), 0500 hours. Engine 58 was relocating to the quarters of a company working on Navahoe when they were dispatched on a still alarm to check for a fire in the area. 58 arrived and advised they were stretching on a commercial building and requested the box. This fire and the one on Navahoe were reported to have been both caused by an explosion. Both were collapsed upon arrival of first due companies.
