9/29/18 - Detroit - Cloverdale St

1917 hours – Engine 40 on the street and radioed Central advising they were on Livernois, south of the Lodge, could see heavy smoke in the area, and would be investigating. Almost simultaneously, Central put out the box alarm for Cloverdale between Eaton and Chalfonte, fire reported in a dwelling. Engines 40, 30, 42, Ladder 17, Squad 5, Chief 8. Engine 40 stretched on a single family dwelling going throughout. Ladder 17 assumed incident command and advised units were taking a defensive posture. Chief 8 (Jefferson) arrived reported a dwelling totally involved and requested an additional engine to the scene (Engine 53). As companies were darkening down the main body of fire, Chief 8 advised Central there was another fire south of his location. Central sent Engine 34, Ladder 25 on a still alarm to the Lyndon Street. Since Chief 2 was already on Cloverdale he went to Lyndon and Chief 8 assigned Engine 53 to the location from Cloverdale as well. Engine 34 was placed in service. Chief 2 advised Central he had a truck on fire in an open, vacant, commercial building. Engine 53 stretched. Held to a still alarm using Engine 53, Ladder 35.
