1930 hours – Box Alarm – Frederick between Helen & E. Grand Blvd – Fire reported in a dwelling at 7043 Frederick Street. Engines 41, 46, 9, Ladder 6, Squad 3, Chief 1. Engine 23X became available and added to the box. Engine 46 placed in service. Squad 3 reported they can see it enroute. Engine 41 on scene stretching on a dwelling, followed by reporting they had 2 dwellings. Central advised they would be sending the commercial box (Engine 46, Squad 6, Ladder 7, Chief 6). Chief 1 assumed incident command reporting a working fire in (2) 2 flats. While companies were stretching for an interior attack, Chief 1 reported fire in (3) 2 flats and companies were having water supply issues. Chief 6 evacuated the initial 2 dwellings on fire, then shortly evacuated the 3rd dwelling that became involved. Chief 6 reported the 4th dwelling starting to go in the rear roof and shortly that dwelling became well involved. All companies in service with exterior attack including master stream from the recently placed in service Ladder 7. Relief companies were dispatched to the scene to continue to extinguish hot spots until clearing the scene around 2330 hours. Companies returned to the scene via box and still alarms for the next 2 days for reports of a rekindle.
