7/23/16 – 0920 hours – 5949 Casmere St – Box alarm, Casmere St & Mound Rd, fire reported in a dwelling. Companies on the box alarm: Hamtramck Engine 1, Engine 46, 56, Highland Park Ladder 1, Squad 3, Chief 8. Engine 60 in the area after clearing a still and took this box in. Engine 56 reported heavy smoke enroute and stretched on a dwelling moments later. The next arriving engine (Hamtramck Engine 1) was advised to enter from Gable Street and prepare to dump their monitor. Chief 8 assumed incident command reporting fire in an occupied dwelling, holding all companies.
