2/19/23 - Detroit - Chene Ct

2215 hours - Box Alarm - Chene Ct and Chene St, fire reported in an occupied, apartment building in the laundry room. Engines 9, 41, 17, 1, Ladders 6, 7, Squads 2, 3, and Chiefs 1, 6. Engine 9 on scene investigating. Engine 9/Ladder 6 had heavy smoke on the 7th floor, fire in the laundry room, and they were knocking it down with a can. Ladder 6 reported to command they need the electric cut to the entire building, they had electrical wires arcing on floor 7 down to the 3rd floor. Chief 1 requested the second alarm for manpower and evacuation of the residents at 1432 hours. 2nd alarm: Engines 32, 46, Ladder ??, 203, 925, 810). Chief 6 had fire inside a trash disposal chute with arcing wires on multiple floors. Engine 9 stretched. House line and a red line for dumpster fire on the 1st floor mechanical room. Extensive overhaul clearing smoke. Warming bus for evacuated residents.
