0957 hours – Special Alarm – 9075 Braile between Cathedral and Dover, check for a hazard, activated carbon monoxide alarm sounding in the basement. Engine 57. Engine 57 requested the box for smoke in the dwelling. Engines 53, 54, Ladder 27, Squad 1, Chief 2. Engine 57 stretching and performing search and rescue for reports of occupants still inside. Chief 2 has fire in an occupied, single story, dwelling and requested an additional engine for RIT (Engine 42). Engine 57 rescued one severely burned occupant and Engine 53 rescued another occupant. Companies had fire in the laundry room of the basement. Fire was fatal to one occupant.
