0044 hours – Box Alarm – Girardin between Strong and Miller, fire reported ina dwelling at 7663 Girardin Street. Engines 9, 41, 46, Ladder 6, Squad 3, Chief 3. Squad 3 was enroute to a box on Sherwood Street up in the 8th Battalion, when Central diverted them to this box. Squad 3 arrived shortly after, reported the fire was on Sherwood between Miller & Strong. They had a single family dwelling going throughout and advised the first engine would be stretching. Engine 46 stretched. Chief 3 assumed command and had a vacant dwelling going throughout and companies would be taking a defensive posture. Total structural collapse.
