9/26/14 - Harrisburg City, PA - S. 14th St
Around 0030 hours, Box 1-4 sent companies to 234 S. 14th Street for a structure fire. Squad 8 arrived on location with a heavy smoke condition on the block. Captain 3 (Wise) reported fire in the rear of a row of vacant and occupied 3 story, brick, dwellings and requested the first alarm assignment. A hand line was stretched into the fire building and exposure quickly knocking down the bulk of the fire. Extensive overhaul was required as the fire extended to some void spaces due to difficulty accessing the roof and the dilapidated condition of the structures. The fire was brought under control in about 30 minutes. Units on scene: Squad 8, Wagons 3,4, Towers 1,3, Truck 32, Rescue 44, Captains 1,3.
