5/5/14 - Harrisburg, PA - Bellevue Rd

At 1035 hours Box 1-4 toned out companies to 1926 Bellevue Road for a reported stove fire. Tower 2 responding from the uptown reporting heavy smoke from 7th Street and requested the 2nd alarm. Chief 1 (Enterline) assumed command advising of a fully involved structure with a master stream in service. Crews stretched multiple hand lines into the fire building, a two-story, occupied, duplex, and initiated an interior attack before being withdrawn. Heavy water lines knocked down the bulk of the visible fire and members switched back to offensive operations. A third alarm was struck bringing in numerous mutual aid companies to the scene and for city station coverage. The fire was placed under control in about 45 minutes with extensive overhaul performed. The fire struck 4 dwellings, leaving several residents homeless, and one dog was found deceased.
