9/7/19 - Baltimore - Westwood Ave

While city companies were in the early stages of the multiple alarm warehouse fire on the east side, around 2100 hours west side companies were sent to 2020 Westwood Street in Engine 52’s first in for a dwelling fire. Engine 52 had heavy fire all floors in the rear of a 2 story, end of the group, dwelling with extension into the Bravo exposure. Companies made an initial interior attack before going exterior with ladder pipe operations. Crews were able to resume interior operations and continued to knock down heavy fire in both dwellings. The bulk of the fire was knocked down in about 45 minutes with extensive overhaul before companies started to return to service.
