1. Baltimore Fires

6/6/19 - Baltimore - E. Monument St

At 2024 hours, Box Alarm 6-10 sent Engines 6, 33, 23 (RIT), 2, 13, Trucks 1, 5, Battalion Chiefs 2, 6, and Rescue 1 to Madison and Ajax Streets at the mattress store for a building fire. Truck 1, responding from the Old Towne station a street over, quickly arrived on scene reporting a 2 story, commercial, building with heavy fire showing. Battalion Chief 2 arrived, assumed command, reported a 2 story brick, warehouse, heavy fire showing from the 2nd floor, and made it a working fire. Engines 5, Truck 10, Air Flex 2, and Car 5 made up the working fire units. Companies went into defensive operations with ladder pipes and large hose lines. Command special called 2 engines and 2 trucks and set up a collapse zone. A second alarm was requested at 2033 hours bringing Engines 51, 31, 8, Truck 16, and Battalion Chief 5 to the scene. A third alarm was called as the stubborn fire continued to burn throughout the night. 1 firefighter was injured.
