1. Baltimore Fires

5/30/20 - Baltimore, MD - N. Caroline St

2 occupants were rescued from a fast moving, late evening fire in the Oliver section of East Baltimore. At 2218 hours, Box Alarm T5-51 alerted Engines 58, 6, 33 (RIT), Truck, Tower 81, and Battalion Chiefs 3, 6 to 1812 N. Caroline Street for the report of a dwelling fire. Battalion Chief 2 became available and added himself to the box. Truck 1 was also clearing a run and added to the box assignment. Engine 6 arrived with a plug at Caroline and Lafayette, reporting a 3 story, middle of the group, with fire showing from the alpha side. Battalion Chief 2 assumed incident command, requested the working fire dispatch as he had fire on the second and third floors. Engine 33 reported occupants trapped on the third floor. Tower 81 had 2 occupants on the rear fire escape and made rescues of those civilians. Both patients were handed over to medics. Engine 6 reported the bulk of the fire knocked down on the second floor front and Engine 13 made the 3rd floor where fire was located in the walls and ceiling. Trucks 1 and 5 crew opened up the roof area. The visible fire on both floors was knocked down in less than 15 minutes. No extension to either of the exposures.
