3/12/22 - Lemoyne, PA - Hummel Ave

At 2259 hours, Box 113-02 sent Engine Companies 13, 10, Trucks 12, Harrisburg Truck 2, and Rescue 14 to 906 Hummel Avenue in the Borough of Lemoyne for a furnace fire. The box was quickly upgraded to a house fire with multiple calls and PD report. The first alarm was also dispatched bringing Squads 8, 20, Rescue 69, and Air 13 to the scene. Chief 1-13 arrived to a 2 story, brick, duplex, with heavy fire showing from sides B and C. Engine 1-13 laid in from 8th and Hummel Ave and took a position on side B where hand lines and a bliztfire were placed into service. Interior crews reported a collapse to the rear of the structure and all members were not injured or trapped. Additional lines were stretched from Rescue 14 on Side A and the crew from Truck 2 opened up the roof. Command 1 special called Squad 33 and Engine 1-29 to the scene for manpower. The fire, which occurred in temps around 19 degrees with high wind gusts, was brought under control at 2359 hours with units remaining on scene for extensive overhaul.
