2/5/22 - Harrisburg, PA - Grand St

For the second time in less than a week a fire broke out in a midtown Harrisburg row home. At 1743 hours, Box 1-3 sent Wagon 3, Squad 8, Truck 2, Tower 1, and Battalion Chief 6 (Lloyd) to 913 Grand Street for a structure fire. Multiple calls were being received reporting that two houses were possibly on fire. Wagon 3 arrived with heavy smoke issuing from a row of 2.5 story, occupied, wood frame dwellings. Captain 1 requested the first alarm bringing Wagon 4, Truck 32, Rescue 69, Air 13, and Chief 1 (Enterline) to the scene. 2 lines stretched from Wagon 3 taken into 927 Grand Street where companies had fire on the top floor and attic area. A second line was taken into 925 Grand Street where fire was located in the attic area as well. Aggressive opening up of the roof and ceilings allowed companies to access the fire and make a good stop preventing further extension. The fire was placed under control in about 30 minutes and displaced several occupants.
