12/29/22 - Middle Paxton Township, PA - Fishing Creek Valley Rd

At 2120 hours, Box 38-5 sent the Dauphin-Middle Paxton Fire Company and surrounding mutual aid to 1621 Fishing Creek Valley Road for a garage fire. Chief 38-1 keyed up enroute and advised by County Communications of a caller reporting a garage fire and they were evacuating. First arriving companies had heavy fire showing from a 2 story garage attached to a dwelling and fire running the roof line into the dwelling. A power line down and arcing on the A/B corner presented a hazard for initial companies operating. Engine 38 laid a line at the driveway and set up a porta-tank due to no hydrants being in the area. Engine 37 pulled up in the driveway where lines were placed in service and a trench cut in the roof of the dwelling to cut off horizontal extension. Command requested an extra engine and two tankers to the scene. The fire was placed under control in about an hour and crews performed extensive overhaul as the second floor of the garage had hoarder conditions.
