1/22/22 - Highspire, PA - Eshelman St

At 1834 hours, Box 55-2 sent Company 55, Engines 71, 50, Trucks 88, 91, Rescues 59, 40, and Air 30 to 581 Eshelman Street for a structure fire. Caller reported hearing a popping noise, saw flames on the first floor, and evacuated. Chief 55-2 arrived on location with smoke showing and requested the first alarm. Engines 54, 59, 91-2, Rescue 68, and Tower 1 made up the working fire companies. Engines 71 and 55-1 each secured hydrants for water supply. Heavy fire was showing from the front of a 1.5 story, occupied, dwelling as companies stretched 2 lines to knock down the bulk of the fire in about 10 minutes. Truck 88 crew opened up the roof. The fire was contained to the front living room and displaced one occupant.
