11/25/22 - Steelton - S. Front St

A vacant Steelton building was damaged in a morning Black Friday fire. Shortly before 0730 hours, Box 501 sent Company 50, Engine 91-2, Wagon 4, Rescues 40, 59, 88, Tower 1, and Air 30 to 357 S. Front Street for a structure fire. Chief 50 (Vance)went enroute and advised of at least 2 calls reporting a house on fire across from Morris Laundromat. PD reported a working fire and Chief 50 arrived with a 3 story building with fire showing on the B side. Engine 91-2 secured a hydrant in the front of the structure and lines were stretched for fire in the balcony area of the second floor. Interior crews reported no floors on the first floor. The fire building involved a vacant one-story attached to a 3 story, mixed occupancy with fire being between the The bulk of fire was quickly knocked down with little extension to the interior of the building. Extensive overhaul was required for bars on the windows and the state of the building which was said to be undergoing renovations.
