Wagon 3, Squad 8, Tower 1, Tryck 2, and Battalion Chief 7 (Bastinelli) made up the initial response. Tower 1 arrived at 0804 hours with a 3 story, brick, fire showing from the second floor on the D side. A line was stretched from Wagon 3 to the second floor for initial fire attack. Chief 7 assumed incident command and requested the first alarm assignment at 0805 hours bringing Wagon 4, Rescue 69, Air 13, and Chief 2 to the scene. A second line was stretched to the third floor as fire was extending to the third floor via the D side balcony.
