12/20/21 - Halifax Township, PA - Dustin Dr

A fast moving fire destroyed two homes just outside Halifax Borough on Monday morning. At 0834 hours, Halifax Company 29 and Fisherville Engine 216-1 were sent to Dustin Drive for a reported porch fire. Before companies could mark up, County put out the first alarm adding Engines 38, 20, Truck 20, Rescues 2, 21 (RIT), Tankers 2, 216, and Air 35 to the box. Engine 29 arrived with a crew of 5 and reported a working fire in a multiple row, end of the unit and they laid a line to the front of the structure. Truck 20 arrived and set up in the driveway of the exposure. Heavy fire rapid spread to all floors and thru the roof of the fire building and the exposure before being stopped at the third dwelling in from the end. 4 lines were stretched and operated and the bulk of the fire knocked down in about 20 minutes. No injuries were reported in the fire that destroyed 2 homes, but unfortunately, a dog perished in the fire.
