1/17/21 - Harrisburg, PA - N. 15th St
At 1651 hours, Box 1-2 sent Wagon 4, Squad 8, Tower 1, Truck 2, and Battalion Chief 5 (Lloyd) to 1411 N. 15th Street for a house fire with possible entrapment. County advised Chief 5 that the call originally came in as medical then the caller stated the house was on fire with 2 people inside, one on oxygen. Chief 5 arrived with a long row of 2 story, bricks with nothing showing. Wagon 4 laid a supply in from 15th & Calder and took a position side A with Tower 1. Chief 5 reported smoke showing from the rear, possibly a kitchen fire, and one person was trapped on the second floor. A first alarm assignment was requested bringing Wagon 3, Rescue 69, Air 13, and Chief 1 to the scene. Two lines were stretched from the front and ground ladders were thrown from the rear deck to successfully remove an occupant from the second floor, rear, bedroom. Unfortunately, one occupant was found deceased on the first floor during a primary search. The fire was quickly knocked down and contained to the area of origin. The fire was placed under control at 1705 hours with units remaining on the scene and extended period of time.
