8/21/19 - Annville Township - W. Main St
A morning, four-alarm, fire heavily damaged a local Lebanon County landmark and sent 2 firefighters to the hospital for heat exhaustion. Companies were first dispatched at 0812 hours on Box 58-1 to the Corvette Bar & Grille at 202 W. Main Street in Annville Township for a commercial building fire. Battalion Chief 58 of Annville’s Union Hose Company went responding and advised of multiple calls being received. With that info, he requested the second alarm assignment enroute. He arrived shortly after and reported smoke showing from a 2.5 story, unoccupied, apartments over a bar. As companies advanced lines heavy smoke issued from side C in the kitchen area. The bulk of the fire was knocked down rather quickly but fire had extended to the upper floors. A third alarm and eventually a fourth alarm would be called to assist with manpower. Command ordered everyone out of the building at 0920 hours and performed a par check in which all members were accounted for. The fire took over an hour to bring under control with extensive overhaul before companies picked up.
