5/6/19 - New Cumberland - Geary Ave

At 1344 hours, Box 10-01 sent Engine Companies 10, 12, 13, 14, 69-1, Trucks 10, 12, Squad 13, Rescue 68, and Air 13 to 205 Geary Avenue in New Cumberland Borough for a stove fire. York County Engine 69 arrived with a working fire and stretched a line to the rear. Squad 12 took a position on side A and stretched a line into the fire building and exposure. Heavy fire issued from the rear of a 2 story, occupied, duplex prompting Command 10 to request a 2nd alarm. Engine Companies 30, 24, 68-1, Truck 2, Rescue 14, Air 35, and RIT 40 made up the extra alarm. The bulk of the fire was knocked down in 10 minutes and contained to the rear of the second floor. No extension to the exposure. One adult and child escaped the fire safely.
