11/12/19 - East Pennsboro Township, PA - Clay St

At 0252 hours Box 5-03 sent Squad 20, Engine Companies 17, 13, Trucks 17, 30, Rescue 20, and Tanker 20 to 213 Clay Street in the village of West Fairview for a house fire. Chief 2-20 went enroute and advised of numerous calls and unknown if the occupants were out. Command 5 requested the second alarm upon arrival with 2 houses involved and fire thru the roof. The second alarm was struck at 0257 hours bringing Squad 2-30, Engine Companies Perry Co 6, Dauphin Co 37, Harrisburg Truck 2, Rescue 14, Perry Co Tanker 6, and Air 13. Companies had a 2.5 story, occupied, wood frame, with fire on all floors, already exposing to a similar type, unattached, occupied, dwelling. Squad 20 stretched and led off with a 2.5 inch line to darken down the bulk of the fire. Multiple lines were stretched into 213, 217, and 219 Clay Street where crews made an aggressive interior attack. The fire also extended to the attached exposure at 219 Clay Street. At 0350 hours, Command 5 requested a special call for manpower bringing Engines 33, 23, 1-25, Dauphin Co Truck 35, Perry Co Rescue 2, and Tanker 31. The bulk of the fire was knocked down in a little over an hour and companies performed extensive overhaul before bringing the fire under control about 0500 hours. The fire heavily damaged all 3 dwellings and displaced 8 adults and 4 children.
