11/22/18 - Harrisburg, PA - Berryhill St
At 2134 hours Box 1-4 sent Squad 8, Wagon 4, Tower 1, Truck 2, and Battalion Chief 5 (Wise) to 1946 Berryhill Street for fire in the house. While companies were enroute County Communications advised of multiple calls reporting the house on fire, possibly spreading to the adjoining house, and the occupants to be out of all the homes. With this information the first alarm was struck bringing Wagon 3, Rescue 69, and Air 13 to the scene. Chief 4 arrived on the scene reporting heavy fire on the 2nd and 3rd floors of a 3 story, wood frame, dwelling. Squad 8 made the initial stretch and 2 lines were placed in service into the fire building and exposure at 1951 Berryhill Street. Chief 4 requested the second alarm for manpower and county companies Engine 30, 37-1 and Trucks 32, 50 already enroute for city station coverage were redirected to the scene. Additional lines were stretched and companies were able to knock the bulk of the fire down in about 20 minutes. Extensive overhaul was required to bring the fire under control in about an hour. "C" platoon working.
