1/1/18 - Lebanon, PA - S. 9th St

City box 15-02 toned at 2018 hours sending Engines 17,19, Truck 18, and Rescue 24 to the area of S. 9th and Chestnut Street for a house fire. EMS on the scene and Lebanon County Communications could see it on the camera, confirming a working fire. Rescue 31 (RIT) and Truck 36 added to the assignment at 2022 hours. Chief 15 arrived with heavy fire showing from the second floor of a 2.5 story, attached, wood frame at 305 S. 9th Street. Companies led off with a line from the exterior to knock down the fire while interior crews prepared to make an aggressive attack. The fire extended to the exposure prompting Command to request a second alarm at 2026 hours. Engines 25, 37, Truck 26, and Rescue 25 responded on the extra alarm. 2 lines were stretched and operated into the fire building. Additional lines operated in both exposure dwellings. Companies were able to knock down the bulk of the fire in about 20 minutes with extensive over required in single digit temperatures. The fire building suffered a total loss and the exposures at 301 & 303 S. 9th Street were heavily damaged. Total loss is reported to be between $150,000-200,000 damage.
