4-3-17 - Harrisburg, PA - S. 15th St
Box 1-4 toned at 2105 hours reporting a structure fire at S. 15th and Reese Streets in the city Allison Hill neighborhood. Squad 8, Wagon 4, Towers 1,2, and Captain 2 (Lloyd) responded on the initial box alarm. Multiple calls were being received indicating the back of the structure involved with no address. Squad 8 arrived on location as the first due engine company and advised of a working fire. Captain 2 reported a fully involved first floor of a 3 story, stand alone, possibly vacant, dwelling. Companies went in service with a step gun in the rear and a 2.5 inch line on side B as the first alarm assignment was initiated bringing Wagon 3, Rescue 69, and Air 13 to the scene. Once the heavy fire was knocked down from the outside, multiple lines were stretched to the interior but companies could not access the third floor due to the condition of the building. Tower 2 took a 3 inch line from Wagon 3 and worked the third floor with a master stream. The bulk of the fire was knocked down in about 20 minutes with extensive overhaul required on the third floor and roof area. Scene of a previous fire that was held to 2 & 2 on March 2, 2017.
