At 1743 hours, Wagon 4 and Tower 1 were dispatched to 25th and Market Streets for an accident with injuries. Shortly after arrival, Lt 1 (Worner) from Tower 1 radioed County Communications requesting Squad 8 be dispatched for a vehicle that slammed into Wagon 4. A minivan travelling east on Market Street failed to yield and crashed into the rear drivers side of Wagon 4. The occupant of the minivan was extricated before the arrival of the Squad. No crew members from Wagon 4 or Tower 1 were injured in the accident. A heavy wrecker towed Wagon 4 from the scene and the crew switched over to staff reserve Engine 2.
