1-25-17 - Harrisburg, PA - S. 17th St
At 1049 hours, Box 1-4 sent Squad 8, Wagon 3, Towers 1,2, and Chief 5 (Wise) to 319 S. 17th Street at the Club Diner for a grease fire inside. Companies enroute were advised by County Communications of receiving 2 calls, one for a grease fire inside and one for smoke from the roof. PD on the scene reporting smoke showing. Squad 8 went on location with a single story diner, smoke showing from the roof, and they have a hydrant. Chief 5 arrived on the scene and requested the first alarm assignment bringing Wagon 4, Rescue 69, and Air 13 to the scene. The fire involved the ceiling and vent duct in the kitchen area. 1 line was stretched and operated. Roof crew reported fire in the duct work. Fire brought under control in 10 minutes with extensive overhaul.
