9-7-16 - Harrisburg, PA - State St

Around 0845 hours, Box 1-5 sent Squad 8, Wagon 4, Towers 1, 2 to N. 17th and State Street for smoke from a roof. Captain 3 (Bastinelli) quickly arrived on location reporting a 2.5 story, ordinary, dwelling with smoke from the roof. A working fire assignment was transmitted bringing Wagon 3, Rescue 69, And Air 13 to the scene. 2 handlines were stretched and operated. Truck company crews opened up and searches were negative. The house was determined to be vacant. The fire was placed under control in about an hour.
