At 1145 hours Company 456 (Chambers Hill), Engines 41 (Bressler), 44 (Lawnton), 45 (Rutherford), Rescue 49 (Swatara Township), 44 (Lawnton), and Truck 48 (Hershey) dispatched on Box 456-2 to 6430 Colchester Ave. for a structure fire. Reports indicating a kitchen fire on the first floor, no cars in the driveway. Chief 49 on location with smoke showing out the eaves on side A from a 2 story, single family dwelling. Chief 456 assumed command and requested the working fire dispatch at 1155 hours. Engine 59-1 (Lower Swatara) and Rescue 88 (Middletown) filled the assignment. A line stretched through the front door quickly knocked down the fire while a second line was advanced to the 2nd floor for possible extension which proved to be negative. Companies remained on the scene for about an hour before going in service.
