Heavy smoke was pouring from all sides of a one story, commercial building. Initial attack lines advanced on a fire in the attic. Due to deteriorating conditions, the building was evacuated and companies went in service with master stream operations. Due to water supply issues additional tankers were sent to the scene. Heavy fire consumed the attic running the entire length of the building. An exposure on side B was threatened but no fire extended to that building. Exterior operations continued throughout the operation as the roof collapsed in and the building became too unstable to go inside. The fire was placed under control in about an hour with units remaining on the scene for extensive overhaul.
