8/26/12 - West Hanover Township, PA - Linglestown Rd
At 2220 hours companies from multiple departments were dispatched to the "Citgo" at 7800 Linglestown Road, West Hanover Township, for a structure fire. Responding units were advised by Dauphin County Communications there were receiving a couple calls reporting smoke from the roof. First arriving Engine 36-1 reported a working fire, dropped a line, and proceeded to side C of the structure. Command 36 advised a one-story, unoccupied, gas station with truss roof construction with fire in the attic. An initial interior attack line was stretched to the side D entrance. Truck 34 (Paxtonia) set up on side B and went in service for roof operations. Interior crews reported the fire was mostly in the attic and they were able to get a good hit with no involvement to the ground floor area. Crews had to pull ceilings and perform overhaul to fully extinguish the fire. Command downgraded the box and marked control in about 25 minutes. No injuries were reported.
