Several occupants of a Linglestown apartment were temporarily left homeless after a fire damaged the building Wednesday afternoon. Companies responding to the Box in Company 35's (Linglestown) first due area arrived with smoke showing from a 3 story apartment building. Interior crews reported heavy smoke in the attic area but could not locate the fire. Vertical ventilation holes were cut in the roof by members from Trucks 34 and 35. The fire was located in the walls and after opening up the flames were extinguished. Companies remained on the scene performing extensive overhaul. A dump site was set up to compliment low water pressure in the area. One construction worker was injured in the fire.
