Box 1-5 sent city companies to an address in the 1300 block of S. 18th Street between Pemberton and Hanover for a structure fire at 2120 hours. Responding units advised of 2 calls, one reporting an electrical fire with no further info. Squad 8 arrived to fire showing from sides A/B of an occupied, 1.5 story dwelling. An attack line was quickly stretched and companies made an interior attack on a well involved living room. All occupants were able to escape safely before firefighters arrived. The fire was placed under control in about 20 minutes.
