1/2/12 - South Middleton Township, PA - Old York Rd

Around 1345 hours Box 1-41-01 sent Carlisle area companies to 108 York Road (WIOO Radio) in South Middeleton Township for a basement fire. Engine 2-41 (Union-Carlisle) arrived with a working fire in an unoccupied, 2.5 story, wood frame, dwelling that housed a radio station. Several lines were stretched on a working basement fire with extension to the upper floors via the walls. A good knockdown of the fire, proper ventilation, and opening up the walls made for quick work on this job. Units remained on the scene for about 1.5 hours. Companies from Mt Holly Springs, Monroe Township, and North Middleton assisted Carlisle units at the scene.
