5/28/11 - Harrisburg - S. 15th Street
Shortly before 0100 hours Box 1-4 sent Harrisburg firefighters to 426 S. 15th Street for a structure fire. Further reports indicated multiple calls for smoke coming from the houses across the street. The updated address was 419 S. 15th Street with occupants possibly still inside. Squad 8 arrived with a working fire, 2nd floor rear, and secured a hydrant. Tower 1 went on location and went in service on side A. A line was stretched through the front door and advanced to the second floor where the bulk of the fire was knocked down. Captain 1 (Eiceman) requested the first alarm as a good smoke condition issued from the row of two-story, brick, row dwellings. Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading and containing fire damage to the building of origin. All occupants were able to make it out safely. Companies were out for about 2 hours.
