12/11/11 - South Londonderry Township - Main St
Around 1130 hours, Lebanon County Fire dispatched companies to 63 E. Main Street in the village of Lawn for a structure fire. Calls being received indicated flames visible and a responding chief officer reported a column of smoke showing enroute. First due Lawn Engine 3 arrived with a well involved, 2.5 story, frame dwelling. Additional companies arriving secured water and stretched lines for a defensive position. Command 3 requested a second alarm tanker assignment bringing in companies from Lancaster and Dauphin County to the scene. Several blitz lines and hand lines were used to battle the flames for over an hour. No injuries were reported in the fire that destroyed the house and was so intense it melted siding on the house across the street.
