Around 2300 hours Box 49-1 sent companies to the address of 1224 Main Street for a house fire with possible entrapment. County dispatch reported fire on the second floor with two possibly trapped. PD on location with a working fire and assisted on extricating the occupants. Chief 49 (Bradnick) went on location with heavy fire on side C of a 2.5 story, wood frame, dwelling and established command. Rescue 88 (Middletown) was dispatched for RIT. Several lines were stretched to the fire floor and crews made a good knock on the bulk of fire. Fire spread to the walls and loft area creating extensive overhaul. Additional companies were summoned for manpower and the blaze was brought under control in about 35 minutes.
