3/2/09 - Harrisburg - S. 13th Street
While companies were wrapping up from the N. 2nd Street fire, Box 1-4 tones for a reported structure fire at 110 S. 13th Street. Mutual aid companies on stand-by in city stations were assigned to the box alarm. Wagon 3, Tower 2, and Rescue 69 were just about to go available from 2nd Street and also took in the box. Engine 30 arrived with smoke showing from a 3 story, end of row, with fire in the rear. Captain 3 (Snyder) took command as companies prepared to go to work at a building possibly vacant. An aggressive attack kept the fire from from extending throughout as crews battled high winds and cold temperatures. The fire was placed under control in about 30 minutes.
