2/24/09 - Camp Hill Borough - S. 17th St

West Shore companies fought a stubborn fire in Company 14's (Camp Hill) first due area on a cold, windy night. The blaze began around 0030 hours and by the time firefighters arrived heavy fire was consuming the rear of a 3 story, occupied apartment building. With possible extension to an occupied, 2.5 story, dwelling a 2nd alarm was transmitted followed by a third alarm a short time later. Multiple handlines were used to get the fire under control followed by extensive overhaul operations. Companies from Cumberland, Dauphin, and York counties were operating at the scene. All occupants were able to escape the building.
