5/13/07 - Harrisburg - Green St
Multiple calls were being received for a fire involving row homes in the 2000 block of Green Street in the Uptown. Box 1-3 was dispatched at 1555 hours consisting of Wagon 3, Squad 8, Towers 1, 2, and Chief 6 (Berger). While enroute Chief 6 requested the 2nd alarm bringing Wagon 4, Tower 3, Rescue 69, and Chiefs 1 (Konkle) and 3 (Soulier) to the scene. Uptown companies arrived with a fully involved 1st floor of a 3 story, brick, occupied, middle of the row dwelling at 2010 Green Street. Companies made an aggressive attack on the fire with two hand lines knocking down the bulk of the fire. Due to the fire's occurring near shift change, the incoming A platoon responded to the scene with reserve Engine 2 and Tower 4. The fire burned out the first floor with some extension via the front porch roofs. Companies remained on the scene for performing overhaul at another row home save in the city.
