3/28/07 - Harrisburg - Crescent St
For the third time in 4 months fire has struck city row homes in the 300 block of Crescent Street. At 2145 hours Squad 8, Wagon 4, Towers, 13, Captain 4 (Snyder) sent to 332 Crescent Street for a structure fire. Squad 8 arrived on location with fire showing 2nd floor of a 3 story, end of the row, occupied dwelling. Captain 4 arrived and reported fire on the 2 floors with extension to the attached exposure at 332 Crescent Street . A second alarm was struck bringing Wagon 3, Tower 2, and Rescue 69 (York Co.) to the scene. Chiefs 1 (Kunkle), 2 (Sevison), and 3 (Soulier) also responded to the scene. Firefighters made a great stop and knock down of the fire bringing the blaze under control in about 10 minutes. Companies remained on the scene for a while performing overhaul. On November 26, 2006 shortly before midnight a 2 alarm fire heavily damaged a vacant 3 story at 334 Crescent Street. The most recent fire occurred on March 3, again at 334 Crescent Street, also going to a 2nd alarm.
