7/5/05 - Londonderry Township - Route 283 E

Around 1320 hours Company 54 (Londonderry Twp) and Rescue 56 (Middletown) were dispatched to Route 283 eastbound, just east of the Vine Street Exit in Londonderry Township, for an accident with entrapment. Companies arrived to a 2-vehicle crash with one occupant trapped. 15 minutes into the call command requested an additional rescue to the scene. Rescue 59 (Lower Swatara) responded. Extrication was complete in about 30 minutes from dispatch and EMS transported two patients to area hospitals.
