7/30/05 - Lower Swatara Township - Eisenhower Blvd
At 1315 hours Dauphin County Box 59-5 (Lower Swatara) tapped out for a reported accident with injuries on S. Eisenhower Blvd. in the area of Angie's Diner. Calls reported a vehicle over the embankment with fire and possible entrapment. Engine 43 (Oberlin) arrived and had a fully involved small pick-up truck extending to the brush with one entrapped. A line was quickly advanced down the steep embankment quickly knocking down the bulk of the fire. Command advised of a Signal 12 (deceased) patient as Eisenhower Blvd between Fulling Mill Rd. and Route 283 was closed for several hours as the accident was being investigated. Units on the scene: Rescue 42 (Enhaut), Engine 43 (Oberlin), Engine 59, Engine 59-1, Rescue 59, and Tanker 59 (Lower Swatara).
