03-08-2010 - Palmyra Borough - First Alarm+ Dwelling
Palmyra Fire Company and surrounding departments sent to 302 N. Railroad Street for a structure fire
around 0130 hours. Units on location with heavy fire to the rear of a 3 story, occupied, multiple dwelling.
Additional resources were requested from Lebanon and Dauphin Counties. Firefighters battled the blaze
for close to an hour before declaring control.

03-06-2010 - New Delivery - Middletown Truck 88
The Middletown Fire Company operates a 2009 Seagrave Marauder II 95' Aerialscope designated as Truck 88. The "new" truck
is the result of a refurb by Seagrave using the old boom componets from the former 1990 Mack/Baker 95' Aerialscope. This
is the third truck in Dauphin County to have a refurbished Aerialscope put on a new chassis. Thanks to Capt. Kenny Whitebread, Jr
for posing the truck for a picture.

02-20-2010 - Spring Township - First Alarm Dwelling
Box 12-2 tones went off shortly before 0800 hours for a residential structure fire at 1325 Bower Road. Caller was a
neighbor stating the next door house was on fire. A company 12 (Shermans Dale) officer went on location with a fully involved
single-family, dwelling. Numerous hand lines were placed in service knocking down the main bulk of fire. Crews remained on the
scene.....

02-18-2010 - Derry Township - First Alarm Dwelling
Box 48-3 sent companies to 1824 Gramercy Place for a shed fire around 1700 hours. Additional reports indicated calls were
being received that the building was on fire. Chief 48-3 arrived to a well involved 2 story, occupied, multiple,
dwelling with heavy fire throughout and exposure problems. Truck 46 (Hummelstown) was the first piece of apparatus to arrive
and took a position on side A....

02-17-2010 - Harrisburg City - Box Alarm Dwelling
Harrisburg fire companies responded to this box alarm fire in the Uptown section. Box 1-3 toned around 1900 hours
for a reported structure fire at 414 Woodbine Streets. Caller reported a fire on the first floor unknown if the occupants
are still inside. Wagon 3 and Tower 2 on location with smoke showing from a 3 story, occupied, end of the row, dwelling and stretched a line through
the front door. A small fire.....

Shortly after 0930 hours Box 41-1 sent units to 500 High Street in the Bressler section of Swatara Township
for a structure fire. Companies had heavy fire from the rear of an occupied, two-story, dwelling. A first
alarm assignment was requested. An aggressive attack limited fire extension and kept the fire to the rear...

02-01-2010 - Lower Paxton Township - First Alarm Dwelling
Box 34-4 tones went out around 1147 hours for a structure fire at 6648 Springford Terrace in the Paxtonia
section of Lower Paxton Township. County Fire informed units of multiple calls reporting flames from the first
floor of a town home. Heavy fire was showing form the front and rear of an occupied, town home on arrival of
first due companies....

01-26-2010 - Harrisburg City - First Alarm Dwelling
Box 1-4 sent Harrisburg companies to 22 S. 20th Street in Allison Hill for a structure fire around 1345 hours.
Chief 7 (Horst) arrived to a working fire in a 2.5 story, occupied, brick, duplex. Squad 8 laid a supply line at Chestnut
and S. 20th Streets while Tower 1 took side A in front of the fire building. Heavy fire involved the first floor
kitchen and was working its way into the dining room.....

Harrisburg Box 1-2 companies responded to a structure fire at 1848 State Street around 2345 hours. Tower 1
on location with heavy fire in the rear of a dwelling and informed Wagon 4 of a hydrant at 19th and State
Streets. Wagon 4 encountered difficulties.....

01-14-2010 - Susquehanna Township - Box Alarm Dwelling
At 0503 hours Box 31-3 toned out for 2110 Boas Street for a reported vehicle fire in a carport. Engine 32-1
(Progress) went responding quickly and advised of rapid calls, occupants were evacuating, and the carport was
attached to the structure. Engine 32-1 arrived with a working fire and extension into the dwelling, a one-story,
ranch. Attack lines....

01-10-2010 - Lower Paxton Township - Box Alarm Building
Around 1230 hours reports of a structure fire sent companies to 4413 Locust Lane in
Company 33's (Colonial Park) first due area. Engine 32-1 (Progress) arrived and had heavy smoke from a one-story garage, laid a line,
and prepared for an interior attack. The fire, involving a vehicle inside, was quickly down without much extension.

01-10-2010 - Royalton Borough - First Alarm Trailer
Box 88-3 sent companies to 202 Dock Street in the Borough of Royalton for a structure fire at 1122 hours. PD on location
with a working fire and burn patient. Command 88 had fire in an occupied, mobile home and requested
the first alarm. Several lines were pulled to knock down the fire and used for exterior overhaul.

01-01-2010 - New Cumberland Borough - Two Alarm Garage
Around 1015 hours Box 10-01 sent companies to 535 Harding Street for a garage fire. Chief 10 arrived with a working
fire in a 1 bay garage attached to a 2 story, private, dwelling. Squad 13 (West Shore) laid in and led off with their
deck gun to knock down the well involved garage. With possible extension in the dwelling Command 10 ordered a second alarm....

12-30-2009 - Penbrook Borough - One Alarm Dwelling
Shortly after 1800 hours Box 301 sent companies to 2705 Canby Street for a structure fire. Engine 30
(Penbrook) arrived at the location with a working fire in an occupied, 2 story, dwelling and took a
position on side A. Harrisburg Tower 1 went in service on the A/D corner. An interior attack with two
hand lines were advanced on the fire involving the basement and first floor. As the fire extended into
the attic....

12-13-2009 - Carlisle Borough - Two Alarm Dwelling
Carlisle Companies 40, 41, and 45 sent to 148 Liberty Avenue for a house fire around 1930 hours. First
arriving units had fire on the first floor of an occupied, 2.5 story, rowhome. A second alarm was called plus special calls
handled the fire in about an hour. Units remained on the scene for extensive overhaul.

Around 1430 hours Box 31-1 sent Company 31 (Edgemont) to 604 N. 28th Street for a vehicle fire. Engine 31
advised of a working fire enroute and requested an engine from 32 (Progress). Engine 31 arrived to a well involved
engine compartment fire. A line was stretched to attack the fire while crews arriving on Engine 32-1 assisted...

12-12-2009 - Carlisle Borough - Two Alarm Dwelling
Shortly before 0400 hours Carlisle Borough Fire companies dispatched to 632 N. West Street for a house fire.
Units on location with a working fire in the attic of semi-attached dwelling. A second alarm was struck for additional
manpower. The fire was placed under control in about 20 minutes and displaced 6 residents...

12-07-2009 - Middletown Borough - Box Alarm Dwelling
Companies dispatched to 23 N. Union Street for a structure fire. Engine 88 (Middletown) arrived with a
working fire fire in a 3 story, occupied, apartment building. Companies made an aggressive attack on the fire
preventing further extension. No injuries were reported and control was marked in about 20 minutes.

Apparatus, current and past, were posed for a variety of group shots behind the State
Capital on Commonwealth Avenue. Several different shots include two former Allison H & L Ladder 1's, new Pierce
Arrow units, current front line apparatus, and Wagon 4 which is back with a new look after being repaired.

11-10-2009 - East Pennsboro Township - 1 Alarm+ Building
On Tuesday, November 10, 2009, East Pennsboro fire companies were dispatched to State Highway and Market
Street for a building fire. A chief officer from Company 16 (West Fairview) was already on scene prior to
dispatch confirming a well involved building fire. Numerous lines were stretched and companies began an interior
attack.....

11-05-2009 - Harrisburg City - Box Alarm Dwelling
On Thursday, November 5, 2009, at 1919 hours, Box 1-2 sent Harrisburg companies to 1226 Market Street for a structure fire. Upon
arrival of Chief 5 (Berger) smoke was showing. A line was stretched from Squad 8 knocking down a fire on the the third
floor. A working sprinkler assisted in keeping the fire.....
