Thursday, September 2, 2010 - Harrisburg City - 100 N. 17th Street Around 1410 hours Box 1-4 sent city companies to N. 17th and Chestnut Streets, in Allison Hill, for a structure fire. First arriving companies encountered heavy smoke and fire from an occupied, 3 story, end of the row, dwelling at 100 N. 17th Street. Chief 7 (Snyder) requested the first alarm as members quickly advanced on a fire involving the first floor. A quick knock down was achieved....

Sunday, August 22, 2010 - Harrisburg City - Second Alarm Dwelling

August 22, 2010 - Harrisburg City - 1151 Derry Street Box 1-2 companies dispatched to 1151 Market Street for a structure fire around 0110 hours. Squad 8 made the quick trip down Market and arrived to heavy fire showing from the first floor of a 3 story, brick, middle of the row dwelling. Chief 5 (Berger) requested the first alarm on arrival as the Squad led off with deck gun operations. The fire quickly extended throughout all floors and cockloft of the fire building....

August 21, 2010 - Swatara Township - Derry Street Shortly after 1800 hours companies were summoned to 4790 Derry Street in Company 44's (Lawnton) first due for a structure fire. Reports indicated a kitchen fire in a rear, second floor apartment. August 21, 2010 - Schuylkill County Fireman's Convention - Frackville The Goodwill Hose Company No 1, Frackville and Friendship Fire Company No. 1, Englewood co-hosted the 56th Annual Schuylkill County Firefighters Convention. The weeklong event culminated in a parade that featured over 200 units and was one of the better attended conventions Schuylkill has seen in a few years. August 17, 2010 - South Hanover Township - Willow Circle Around 1330 hours Company 47 (Union Deposit) and surrounding companies dispatched to 21 Willow Circle for a structure fire. Calls indicated a room on fire with heavy smoke. Engine 47 arrived with a working fire in an occupied, ranch, dwelling. 1 line was stretched to the front door and the crew of Engine 47 made a quick knock using tank water. Additional companies arrived and assisted with overhaul and water supply...

August 13, 2010 - Harrisburg City - 247 Hummel Street At 0908 hours Harrisburg Box 1-4 companies responded to 247 Hummel Street for a house fire with multiple calls being received. Chief 4 (Hartman) on location with smoke showing from the 3rd floor of a vacant, three-story, brick, row home. A line was quickly stretched from Wagon 4 making quick work of a fire on the third floor. A second line was stretched but not charged....

Thursday, August 12, 2010 - Monaghan Township - 3rd Alarm Church

August 12, 2010 - Monaghan Township - S. Fileys Rd Shortly after 0700 units were dispatched to 15 S. Fileys Road for a church fire in the Siddonsburg section of Monaghan Township. First arriving companies encountered a working fire in the bell tower area of the church. The church also served as a day care center and was occupied at the time of the fire. Monday, August 2, 2010 - Hampden Township - One Alarm MVA w/Fire

August 2, 2010 - Hampden Township - Wertzville Rd Hampden Township Company 30 and surrounding departments dispatched to 5665 Wertzville Road for an accident. Reports indicated a vehicle into a house with fire. Units arrived with a working pick-up truck fire in front of an occupuied, one-story, ranch dwelling. Crews quickly knocked down the fire without any extension to the residence. The condition of the driver is unknown and the occupant of the home was uninjured.

August 1, 2010 - Harrisburg City - 16th and Market Streets Box 1-4 companies summoned to 16th and Market Streets around 2230 hours for a building fire with entrapment. Responding units were advised of 4-5 people still inside the building. Chief 6 (Horst) made the quick trip down 16th Street with an exterior fire and confirming people still inside. A hand line quickly knocked the fire which was to the rear of a large, 3 story, apartment building....

Sunday, July 4, 2010 - Reading City - Box Alarm Garage

July 4, 2010 - Reading City - 10th and Green Sts Shortly after 2330 hours, while units were operating at a brush fire near the Pagoda on Mount Penn, Box 47 sent Engines 9,3,5,11, Ladder 3, Tower 1, and Rescue 1 to 10th and Green Streets for a garage fire. Ladder 3 on scene reported a working garage fire in the alley between Green and Moss Streets. Fire involved a 2 story garage with no extension. Fire was brought under control in about 15 minutes using 2 hand lines.

June 29, 2010 - Susquehanna Township - Paxton Church Rd Shortly after 1700 hours Box 32-6 sent companies to 2211 Paxton Church Road at the Ginger and Spice for a building fire. PD on location with heavy smoke showing. Command 32 reported heavy fire and smoke from a one-story strip mall. Members went to work mounting an interior attack into the restaurant where a considerable amount of fire was taking possession of the common loft. With a weakening roof command ordered....

Monday, June 29, 2010 - Slatington/Walnutport - 2010 Four County Fireman's Convention

June 26, 2010 - Four County Fireman's Convention On Saturday, June 26, 2010 the 113th Annual Four County Firemen's Convention and Parade was hosted by the Slatington Fire Department and the Diamond Fire Company of Walnutport. The event is comprised of five counties: Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton and Pike. Pictured are some of the apparatus that participated in the parade. Monday, June 21, 2010 - Mechanicsburg Truck 8 New Look

Mechanicsburg Truck 8 The Washington Fire Company No. 1 of Mechanicsburg Borough (Cumberland Co.) has received back their Mack aerialscope after getting some refurbishing work done and sporting a new paint scheme. The truck was originally purchased in 1972, completely refurbed with a new chassis in 1990 at which time it was also re-titled. In 2010 Truck 28 underwent major body repair and repainted to match the remaining fleet.

June 5, 2010 - Lancaster Co. Fireman's Convention The 90th Annual Lancaster County Fireman's Convention was hosted by the Bareville and Upper Leacock Fire Companies. Both departments are also celebrating their 100th Anniversary in conjunction with the Convention. Pictured are some of the apparatus that participated in the parade. Thursday, June 3, 2010 - New Cumberland Borough - MVA w/PIN

June 3, 2010 - New Cumberland Borough - Interstae 83 North Units from Company 10 (New Cumberland), 12 (Lower Allen), 13 (West Shore), and 68 (Fairview Twp) responded to Interstate 83 northbound between Exits 40 and 41 for an accident with entrapment. Companies arrived to find a multi-vehicle crash with several injuries including a patient that was unresponsive. Life Lion transported the patient to a hospital in unknown condition.
