Metro Harrisburg Fire Photos 2010
Thursday, January 14, 2010 - Susquehanna Township - 2110 Boas Street
At 0503 hours Box 31-3 toned out for 2110 Boas Street for a reported vehicle fire in a carport. Engine 32-1 (Progress) went responding quickly and County Fire Communications advised them of rapid calls, occupants were evacuating, and the carport was attached to the structure. Engine 32-1 arrived with a working fire and extension into the dwelling, which was a one-story, ranch. Attack lines were quickly stretched to begin fire suppression as Engine 31 arrived and secured a water supply. Truck 32 set up on side A and went in service to vent the roof. The bulk of the fire was quickly knocked down in the car port and the dwelling as the remainder of box alarm companies started to arrive. The fire was placed under control in about 25 minutes with no reported injuries.
