West Shore companies sent to the first block of S. 2nd Street for a reported bedroom fire in Company 13's (West Shore) first due area. First arriving units to the 0700 hours fire had heavy fire to the rear of a 2.5 story, occupied, dwelling. With a similar type unattached exposure threatened a second alarm was struck. The fire was knocked down using several lines and heavily damaged the fire building. One occupant was transported to a local hospital with 2nd degree burns. On a side note, this was the 3rd working structure fire in 8 hours which Harrisburg Tower 2 went to work.
