Dauphin County Box 402 toned companies to 100 Paxtang Avenue for a reported house fire around 1845 hours. Chief 40 reported the house, a large, occupied, 3 story, Victorian style, duplex to be well involved. Engine 40 ( Paxtang) arrived and laid a 5 inch supply from Brisban St and Paxtang Avenue to the front of the structure. Heavy fire was showing from the rear and quickly advancing to the upper floors and loft. Tower 1 (Harrisburg) took side A and Truck 32 (Progress) took the D side and set up ventilation operations. Heavy smoke issued from the top floor and loft as interior crews aggressively attacked the fire. A full first alarm and special calls were required to bring the fire under control.
