Monday, March 31, 2008 - Rye Twp - Flowers Ln

Companies from Perry, Cumberland, and Dauphin Counties battled a building fire at the intersection of Flowers Lane and Route 850 just outside Marysville Borough around 1045 hours. First arriving units had heavy fire in a one story, garage-type, concrete building with several automobiles inside. A second alarm was quickly struck and more tankers requested as fire was extending into similar type exposures and venting from the roof. Once a decent water supply was established handlines and aerial streams from Truck 2 (Duncannon), 17 (Enola), and 30 (Hampden) darkened the fire down but due to the integrity of the structure exterior ops continued. The fire was placed under control about an in hour into the incident.
