Metro Harrisburg Fire Photos 2007
February 9, 2007 - Wormleysburg Borough - S. Second St
While companies were mopping up at the 3 alarm fire in Enola, companies were dispatched a little over a mile south in Wormleysburg Borough for a house fire with entrapment at 28 S. Second St. The assignment brought standby companies and other neighboring communities including Harrisburg City Tower 2. EMS and PD arrived confirming a working fire with entrapment. Engine 1-28 (Mechanicsburg) arrived and pulled a line to the front door as a small but rapidly developing fire was charging the 2.5 story duplex with heavy smoke. Firefighters quickly removed an occupant from the residence immediately rushed to a nearby ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.
